The move stuff in lbp2 is awesome. As is the whole game of LBP2 - it's an improvement over lbp1 in just about every way.
LBP-Vita, Gravity daze and Warriors Ruin are my three most anticipated Vita games. Resistance, MK and Disgaea 3 are just below that. And that's pretty much the whole release calender... no?

I think that's everything. I'll end up getting Disgaea out of despiration. Why are they releasing 3 and not 4? Is there more demand for the 4 year old version?

Having not played any version of MvC... I am blown away by the vita version. I had $40 burning a hole in my psn wallet so I went for it. I get that it's not as technically sound as the sf series but since it seems unlikely I'll be playing competitively with friends the over the top madness makes for a much more fun single player and mp vs randoms. I don't know wtf is going on half the time but goddamn it's fun. And really, really pretty.

Glad you like it. Yeah I was a big fan of the second MvC but never got The third. For a moment there it seemed Capcom would release a new version of a fighting game every couple of months.
But wanting another vita game I took a chance too. I'm so happy I did. So far I really like Thor, Dante, and Nova/Iron Fist. But with so many characters I haven't even tried half of them.
Make sure to download the game update. It adds the heroes and heralds mode. I've been having a lot of fun with that mode because it adds a card collecting element to the game. Plus with each card adding new abilitys to fight it can get even more crazy.

Nick and I played like 40 hours of MvC3 online last year. Tons of fun. Had you picked up the 360/ps3 version you would have someone to play against.

When you feel like you are ready add me on psn and we can play competitively. I've also been considering getting the PS3 version...maybe not. I need a new tv first I think. Mine is going out.

Reached what I consider to be the end of Unit 13. Played through all missions once, have no interest in score chasing. The daily missions are cool in theory, but they reuse maps that I've played far too many times. I don't know why I thought they'd be introducing a new original level each day. That was probably stupid of me. No dev would do that.
I have zero interest in the HVT missions. They're fucking broken. Guys spawn in endlessly, the missions are hard as balls, and have zero checkpoints. AND reuse the same maps. Nah, I'm good.
In conclusion, and to reiterate my thesis statement, Unit 13 is a fantastic idea. And decent fun. But chock full of issues.
(I wouldn't mind co-oping the missions at some point.)
Oh, and Uncharted gets better the further you get.

In other news, found a UMD copy of Valkyria Chronicles 2 that I must have purchased years ago. NOW I wish there was a UMD program, since finding this copy prevents me from rebuying it. And I had fully intended to get it.

You, and I, need to go back to that and finish it. It's one of the best strat rpgs I've ever played. Love it. Positioning and defending is more important than attacking. So good.

Yeah to be fair i didn't give it much of a chance. I thought it was going to be more turn based and was surprised when it wasn't. I didn't adapt in the first couple hours and I just gave up on it. But it's not like I don't like strategy games that play out in real time... so i just need to go into it not assuming I know what it is. I was picturing something like advance wars but in a third person/gears of war type of view. It's definitely not that.
Mwayne.... VC2 is on the PSN. Just make sure you go to "Bundles" and not the normal PSP A-Z. Because for whatever reason the standalone game is $40 and the bundle with all the DLC is $22.

Finally played with a Vita:
-Hardware is great. I liked the screen and buttons. The sticks, errrr, well I hope its true that one gets used to them.
-Not sure about the touchpad on the back. Where I naturally put my fingers was all over it. I would probably just avoid playing games that made a point of using it during regular play.
-Played a bit of Uncharted and would probably skip that one.
-Wipeout felt great. That will be a purchase when I pick one of these up one day. Same with Hot Shots. I love golf.
-Price still seems too much when there isnt much I need to play. I look forward to E3 and some announcements involving rpgs and adventure games. This game seems made for things like Sacred, Amalur, or Nier.
-Pete, you should start a kickstarter that gets game ports pushed to the Vita. Just sayn.
-I'll probably have one of these in 2012. Shame the memory nonsense fucked everything up. http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Flash-Mem … 960&sr=8-1
-Gran Turismo? WHERE IS GRAN TURISMO?

Xenoblade Chronicles would be perfect on thsi thing. Actually lik e mik and mort have been saying, just about any damn game recently would be cool on my Vita.
Snatched up Shinobido last night, man this game is pretty bad, but you still feel like a badass when you get all stealth kills. The combat wouldn't be so bad if everyone wasn't a freaking tank. I guess thats the penalty for being detected.

I wouldn't be shocked if we get an announcement of GT5-portable or something, with some sort of cross play. Polyphony only seemed to have a skeleton team on DLC (forza put out more day one dlc, it seems, than polyphony did total). Most assumed that's because they are working on GT6. Which might be true. But it also would make sense that it's because they have been porting GT5 to the vita.
This is me guessing/hoping btw, i haven't heard a peep about this.
I agree with just about everything you said bill... except that you do get used to the sticks/backtouch. But it's rare that anyone uses the backtouch anyway. And the few games that do you can turn it off. Also uncharted is way better than it demos. Way, way better. But the unit costs too much and the memory costs too much. Though i'm giving them a pass on using their own memory *until* this thing gets hacked. The idea with proprietary memory is there isn't a reader for this shit anywhere in the world, and hacked memory was one of the major leaks in the PSP and the DS. So until they get hacked i'm not going to rage about the memory. But even still, making proprietary memory is one thing... charging $100 for 32gbs of it is another.

This need to have everything on the Vita needs to end.
Found my PSP, the Vita makes it look like a piece of trash. I'll end up rebuying anything I still want to play digitally. Fuck it all.
And to back up Bill from forever ago - Nintendo suffered from piracy like crazy. Yet, they were still good enough to use normal SD cards. Sony LOVES that proprietary shit. At least they don't force people to use memory card pro duos in their cameras anymore. Fucking Sony.

I would argue the need to have everything on vita is a selling point. That's what Sony was pushing with the whole start one game on ps3 and then continue it on the vita. Cross play isn't a stupid idea. Wanting to prevent piracy isn't a bad idea either.
And so what if the Vita makes a PSP look like trash. The psp came out like 7 years ago. I mean nowadays the lifespan of a new product seems to be only a year. I dont care if it's proprietary as long as it does the job and won't get hacked/piracy takes over.
