We are now running the latest version of FluxBB. Obviously this brings with it a new default style (and Mik is going to have to determine how to make it feel like home again), but it also comes with some new features. Here's the condensed list:
* Unread/read topic tracking that actually works in real-time, and not just based on your last visit
* Moderators have the ability to split/merge topics
* Improved styles
* Faster, faster, faster
I have also installed some additional anti-spam measures that should prevent bots from being able to sign up.
Onward and upward.

We can definitely have a header image. I think that's a good idea.

I'm working on the "Classic" theme right now that will just be the old style adapted for the new codebase. It's ugly as hell at the moment if you want to refresh and follow along.
Edit:
It looks like too many things changed between the old layout and the new layout for things to carry over in a simple or clean way. If I have some time I might be able to match the hex codes manually using "Cobalt" as a foundation, but it might be better to make a new theme that is based on "Air" anyway.

Its now running slower for me. I thought the last forum was the fastest I'd ever used.
When do you notice the slowdown? I can look into it.

It seems to be fine now. It was my first day on the new forum that I noticed it. I can't remember where on the site though.

Because it didn't happen.

I do like that new threads become read threads instantly now... but on the old forum it used to save the state between multiple devices. Like if I came to the site and read a thread on my ipad, when i got on my pc an hour later it was marked as read. Now it's still marked as unread on my pc. Its making hopping between devices to be fairly annoying.

This should be working as well and sounds like an issue with the session that is stored. Have you tried logging out and then back in again on your machines? You may also have to clear your cookies.

Why doesn't clicking a link in a post open a new tab? That would be a nice addition.

That did it, thanks.
